Greetings gearheadzzz. I'm a retired Railroad conductor. I've been involved with dirt racing since 1958. Originally helped out and worked on Jack Gibson's
#55 supermod jalopy... 31 ford body on 39 frame with flatty and 4 97's. Later went to sprint cars or supermods??? with my brother and friend Gene French #44 raced at Riverside (Mo), then in the 60's-70's-80's raced and built stock cars. My partner (Roy McClellan) won the IMCA championship in 1975. I'm currently building a 49 chevy fleetline retro racer replica of an ole hobo car that raced at Lakeside Speedway (KCK) in the 70's. It was a 6cyl class with a lot of restrictions as to engine, wheel and tire size etc. Oh the fellows name was Tom Faircloth I think (memory ain't so good nowadayz) ibson's |
