Default New guy in town.

Hello, Jerry Medlin here. Stumbled onto this great sight. Love open wheeled dirt race cars. Raced myself here in Tulsa yearss ago. Not a great shoe, but love the racing. Still make it to lots of races in the area.Grew up watching guys like Angelo Howerton, Buddy Cagle, Jack Pennwell,Jackie Howerton.Raced with Emmett Hahn, Ray Crawford. Harold leep, Shane Carson.Still make a lot of races in the area, in fact going to Outlaw Speedway tomorrow night for the OCRS Harold Leep Nationals. Will be a fan forever, nothing comes close to a good ole wheel to wheel dirt car race.

Jerry, welcome aboard! Same with me, raced a few years, not much success, but had a blast. I raced a midget at Tulsa Speedway in 1985 or 86, last SWIMS midget series, and was on a pit crew at the first ever Chili Bowl, lost of auto racing history down in Tulsa, OK!! Ever been to the Zink Ranch?

Hey Mitch, been to the ranch several times over the years. Infact I have a rod run with a local car club to go there in August to the car museum on the ranch. Has a majority of the cars of all kinds that Zink raced.

I'm in Newcastle, about 30 miles NE of Sacramento. Not far from All American Speedway. Grew up in Westminster and going to Lakeside Speedway.

Don't know Ray Derby nor have I heard of him, should I?

Well he was a fairly successful racer at San Jose speedway in midgets and Sprints. has a business called Derby Signs, and does a lot of wraps for local racers.
