Default Auto Racing Memories 2nd Anniversary!!

About 2 years ago this time, webby took over this ARM site and made it into the cool place it is now. He changed it over to make it easier for anyone to post a comment or picture or whatever. Personally, I've added about 580+ images to the site to share with the world which otherwise would have just sat in boxes at my home, unseen by anyone but myself. But what I have really enjoyed is what others have brought to the site. GREAT images, GREAT stories, and some really neat people to hang with and learn from. And from all over the world even!

So HAPPY 2nd ANNIVERSARY A.R.M.!! And thank you Eric for the opportunity to share this stuff with everyone. I hope it's around for years to come!

Yeah, it's amazing that the new version of the site is already two years old. The original site was created in January of 2008 so we are actually over three years old now. But I agree the new version is really what we should have been all along which is a community of folks who all share the same interests submitting content in a more leisurely way (via the more robust forum software).

Yet what makes this site so great is all of you folks and the awesome memories and images that you add. It truly has become the best vintage auto racing forum on the internet.

Auto Racing Memories averages about 7,500 visitors per month which accounts for over 60,000 page views per month. People find us the most through Google, then Yahoo, then Bing, then BigWestRacing.com, then... Twitter, Hoseheads, Facebook and then dozens of other smaller directories and websites.

With all of your participation I'm sure ARM will continue to grow and become a irreplaceable resource on the internet.

As one of the older generation, I'd like to add my Happy Anniversary to this worthy list of racers, race fans and most of all, the greatest bunch of guys and girls to come together with their auto memories.

Thanx to eric and all the contributors to this site---those of us who had our stuff on the old site were sure glad this site came around when it did---all the old stories and pics need a home so future racers have a place to see the stories and people who formed this sport we are so fond of---I also like the fact that this site is for MEMORIES!---not for B****** about what is wrong with our sport---but CELEBRATING our sport---I for one will continue to contribute to this site----till I run out of stories, or pics----thanx again----kevin t.

Congratulations and thank you for giving all of us a place where we can relive some great memories, renew old friendships, and learn history that we didn't know.

It's been a short couple of years, but a lot of fun.

Thank you! Webby, thank you!
