Myself and John Wood, the 2012 tech inspectors for the CARC, had the very rare opportunity a few weeks back, to inspect a race car that had been retired 40 years earlier! The 6 car looks like it did at englewood 4 decades ago! Steven st. Peter and I had raced against Joe when he had raced with the club a few years ago, but I hadn't had the chance to get some 1 on 1 time with the car. Joe plans on running this season with us, and I can't wait!..Last time they raced with us, Steve and I were not allowed to go to the concession stand without Joe's
wife trying to stuff us full of home cooking! what a class guy! If anyone has seen Joe race this car, it has a transverse leaf across the front, over the straight axel, and Joe will pull the left front WAY off the ground in the corner! Saw him in Pueblo last year with the CVOR....he went in to 3 hot and did a sprint car power slide thru 3 and 4, smoking the right rear the whole time, and never LIFTED! Joe is still as competitive as ever, and I can't wait for this season!...kt

It's a real honor to race with Joe (a legend) now that he's running some CARC shows!!
