Big AL, the pleasure was all mine on Saturday night. It is always great to see people that admired my father. You have a few new fans now after Saturday. Good luck until next time. I will still call and come by for that cold one too!

These are some great pictures. Brings back memories of being a kid sitting in turn one day dreaming about some day being a f8 racecar driver.

Smokin' Joe Martinez and Big All Duran are two of the best Figure 8 drivers around. Here they are in action just two weeks ago at CNS. It's great that both of them are members here at ARM.

Here's a few more CNS Figure 8 memories from the early '90's.....

(Photo by Jerry Lee McGuire) Don Bedore from 1990.

(Joe Starr photo) Tom Nail looks as though he's popping a wheelie or trying to hop the
start/finish line here in 1994, but he's just "nailed" one of the white tires. When the Eighters
first started at CNS, they use to place an even bigger tire at the start/finish line which would
total out any car that would cross it's path. Thankfully, they don't do that anymore.

(Photo by Jerry Lee McGuire) Rick Runkle's Eighter from 1990.

(Joe Starr photo/Gastineau collection) Big Al Duran #23 battles Dick Gastineau #13
during an early '90's heat race.

(Photo by Jerry Lee McGuire) The late great Harvey Webb.

(Photo by Joe Starr) Big Al Duran #23 just saying "Hello" to Harvey Webb #181
at the X during 1992 action at C.N.S.

(J.L. McGuire collection) In this blurry still from video tape, Harry Livermore, Sr. whacked the
big tractor tire that used to be at the start/finish line during a 1990 main event. The big
tire then proceeded to roll all the way across the track and bounce off the East wall finally
coming to a rest in the infield. The crowd went wild when Harry then crawled on top of his
car and did a wild dance. Hence Livermore, Sr.'s nickname "The Showman".

(J.L. McGuire photo) Looks like a lot of finger pointing going on after a skirmish on the
C.N.S. Figure 8 course.

(Photo by Joe Starr) Figure 8 champ Lance Proctor after whacking someone at the X
in 1992.
