Default 1969 Tri State auto show

In 1969 the CARC had a display at the Tri State Auto show. These pictures taken by Dave Allinger are from that show, The #22 "Critter" Cuda of Marv Roberts, the #35 Mustang of Jay Saxton and the beautiful #98 Vicky of Jr. Denning were featured in the display, also the beautiful Ms. Margie Younkin was there to draw attention.

Those are great shots! Was that at the Denver Coliseum? before Currigan Hall was built? I remember a "Saber Auto Show" (before it was called the Tri-state auto show) Willie Hardman had his midget and sprint car on display with mannequin's in drivers suits and helmets, in the cockpit of each car. Great memories.

Thanks for the post. Good stuff, the part of the Sabers show I always looked forward to the most. Usually a display of cars from both Lakeside and Englewood Speedways were on display.

This was in April at the Denver Coliseum.. Great day until, I got home to be greeted by a physical notice for the US Army. My life changed forever (20 years in the USAF). Remember Marv's #22 "Critter" that later became the "Crispy Critter" after a fire. . Guess that's why this site is called "Auto Racing Memories"
