Default Need Kurtis Kraft chassis photos

Need some help everyone. I'm going to do some Kurtis Kraft models, but the kit only has the main frame rails. I need a couple photos of the full frame, all the rails, if anyone has some. All help is appreciated.

If you can wait a couple days I know of a Kurtis that is being restored about 10 mins from my house. Maybe someone will be able to add some pics in the meantime.

Thanks, I'll wait a couple days then. The new models nice but the steering and firewall area are all wrong. Steering wheel isn't up high enough , and looks like a stock car steering set up. I want to do this right.

I really need sme shots of the motor plate area, and attachment points in that area.

Thanks

This is Eddie Jackson with the ex-Lloyd Axel Kurtis, the 3rd one off the production line, post WWII. It's got all it's clothes off!

From Ed Hitze's book, "The Kurtis-Kraft Story".

From Gordon Eliot White's book "Kurtis-Kraft, Master Works of Speed and Style"

Should help a little.

Thanks Mitch, the shot of Vuky helps quite a bit. It'll take some work, but I'll do it right. When the other photos get posted I should have everything I need.

The suspension on the KK midgets was varied...

The springer, both front and rear springs were transverse.

Some had a transverse front spring and parallel rear torsion bars.

Some had parallel torsion bars front and rear.

When Lloyd Axel had #5, it was a springer.

LAKESIDE - Late at night by the old Lakeside Speedway, you can hear the ghosts - The barking, crackling "Flathead Fords", the zinging "Chevy Stove Bolt's", The rumbling of the "KK-Offy's", and the snarling "Ford V8-60's". Listen and faintly hear the announcer say, "Ladies and gentlemen, the line up for the trophy dash," and the place would erupt with the mix echoes of cheers and boo's...Remember...

Rick Tackman here, i too am building a "bare naked" Kurtis, which is about 80% finished. What i did was to do a Google search on Kurtis Kraft midget chassis and found just about all i needed. You can contact me at tackman@wi.rr.com if i can help or if you just want to bench race. I can send some photos to your e-mail if you wish, just let me know.

For those of you who are wondering which car that was, it was Bob Sweikert's #7.
